Manufacturing

Nowhere is step-by-step process more important than in the manufacturing process. Replication to tight standards is the key to quality of products and service. Cliff Ahrens can provide:
- Work procedures -- Clearly written procedures help new (or fill-in) employees get up to speed quickly.
- Operations -- Every factory floor needs clearly written instructions for operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, spare parts, and inventory control.
- Assembly and Disassembly -- Equipment that needs to be moved must be correctly assembled and disassembled. Clearly written directions save time and put key equipment back in operation with minimal down time. Computer use or system management -- Employees who use a computer controlled machine need clearly written procedures. This is true, even when the system comes with its own manuals, instructions, etc. because no shelf product or canned package is ever a perfect fit. Adaptive documentation saves time and frustration.
- Product information -- Customers buy your product because it looks like the best buy for their needs. But they won't buy it a second time unless it is easy to install, use, repair, service, and maintain. To increase repeat business and decrease the load on the Help or Customer Service Desk, think like a customer...not like a technician. Provide product information that is straight-forward and customer-oriented.
- Safety and Hazardous Materials Training -- The key to safety is training and enforcement. Keep the rules clearly visible, and easy to understand. Reinforce them with frequent "refresher" sessions.

Get it First. Get it Fast. Get it in Writing.
